Smock Washing & Care Guide

Our beautiful smocked clothing is made with love and care, and with the right washing routine, your little one’s smock can stay looking beautiful for as long as possible. Please follow the care instructions below to help preserve the fabric, colours and delicate smocking.

Washing

♡ Always check the individual garment’s care label before washing.

♡ We recommend hand washing your smock wherever possible. If hand washing is not possible, machine washing is undertaken at the customer’s own risk. We recommend using a gentle cycle at 30°C.

♡ Wash with similar colours to help prevent colour transfer.

♡ Turn the garment inside out before washing where possible.

♡ Use a mild, colour-safe detergent suitable for delicate fabrics.

♡ Do not use bleach or harsh stain removers, as these may damage the fabric, delicate detailing or cause colours to fade.

Drying

♡ We recommend allowing your smock to air dry naturally wherever possible.

♡ Do not tumble dry unless the garment’s individual care label specifically states that it is suitable for tumble drying.

♡ Avoid placing smocked garments directly on radiators or exposing them to high heat, as this may damage delicate fabrics and smocking.

Ironing

♡ Iron on a low heat setting if required.

♡ Turn the garment inside out before ironing.

♡ Take extra care around the smocked area, as well as any delicate trims, embroidery or embellishments.

Important Information

Smocked garments can be delicate, and some fabrics may naturally crease, fade or soften over time with washing and wear. Please take extra care when washing, drying and storing your items to help keep them looking their very best.

We cannot accept responsibility for damage caused by incorrect washing, drying, ironing or the use of unsuitable detergents or cleaning products.
